Two we’ve built start to finish

Two iOS apps, first sketch to the App Store — one for people whose planners stop working the moment they stop checking them, one for contractors who’d rather build than do math.

MindAnchor

ADHD focus & planning

Most planners assume you’ll remember to check them. MindAnchor assumes you won’t.

It opens on what you’re in the middle of, with a timer running, and the single thing that comes next — not thirty tasks competing for attention. Three priorities a day. A brain dump you can empty now and sort later. Reminders that reach the wrist, so following a plan never depends on picking up a phone.

We took it from first sketch to the App Store: interface, data model, notifications, calendar integration, Apple Watch delivery, and three rounds of tester feedback in between.

Deck & Stair Estimator

Construction estimating

Ordering materials for a deck build usually starts with a pad of paper and a lot of arithmetic — decking, framing, railing, fasteners, stringers, rafters, roofing, and trim, added up by hand and prone to the kind of small error that means a second trip to the lumberyard.

Deck & Stair Estimator turns that into a few taps. Pick a project type, enter the real-world measurements, and get an itemized material list on the spot — branded with the builder’s own company name on every exported PDF.

Built solo for iOS, calculating everything on-device: no account, no server, no login screen between a builder and the numbers they need.

App Builds · Concepts

A few ideas worth building

Illustrative concepts, not shipped products — sketches of what an app build could look like for a trade business. If one is close to what you need, we'd scope it as a real project.

Concept

Route & Dispatch

A simple daily schedule for crews — jobs assigned by driver, addresses mapped in order, and a one-tap "on my way" text to the customer.

  • Fits: landscaping, cleaning, home services
  • Core: schedule, map order, customer notify
Concept

Job Bid Tracker

Turn a walkthrough into a bid on-site — line-item pricing, photos attached per job, and a status board from quoted to paid.

  • Fits: contractors, builders, remodelers
  • Core: line items, photo notes, bid status
Concept

Booking & Reminders

Customers book a slot from a link, get automatic reminder texts, and reschedule themselves — no more phone tag over appointment times.

  • Fits: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, cleaning
  • Core: booking link, reminders, self-reschedule

Like the Starter Sites above, these are starting points for a conversation — every app build is scoped and priced around what your business actually needs.

Process

How a build comes together

The same four stages on every project, sized to fit the scope.

  1. 01

    Draft

A working session to pin down goals, users, and scope into a one-page plan before anything is built.

  2. 02

    Design

Screens and flows for every core page or step, reviewed together before development starts.

  3. 03

    Build

Development in weekly checkpoints, with a working preview link updated as it progresses.

  4. 04

    Ship & support

Launch, plus a defined window of fixes and a clear path to ongoing support after that.

Pricing

What a project costs

Three starting points — every quote is scoped to what you're actually building.

Starter Site

$600–$1,200

1–2 weeks

1–3 pages (home, about, contact), mobile-responsive, one round of revisions.

Standard Site

$1,500–$3,000

2–4 weeks

5–7 pages, custom design, contact form, basic SEO setup, 2 rounds of revisions.

Custom Build / App

$3,500+

4–8+ weeks

Multi-page site or web app, custom functionality (booking, e-commerce, login, etc.), 3 rounds of revisions. Scoped individually.

These are starting ranges, not final quotes — every project gets a fixed price or range up front after a quick call about scope.

About

Built by someone who'd rather over-plan than over-promise.

Shaw Creative Works takes on a small number of projects at a time — websites and apps for founders and small teams who want a build that's planned carefully and explained plainly, not handed off to a black box.

Every project starts with a clear plan: goals, users, and constraints mapped out before a single line of code. That plan is what keeps builds on schedule and on budget.
